A New "Current" in Silicon Valley
If life is like a flowing river, then in Silicon Valley there’s a strong current pulling us to find our worth in things like career status or "making it big." But Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me…rivers of living water will flow from within them” (John 7:38). In other words, there’s a new current in Christ—one where, when we find our ultimate purpose in Him, we experience life to the fullest (John 10:10). In Christ, we have lasting hope and meaning that go beyond worldly success. This is what we offer one another as a church—and together, as the church, to the world.
Our Vision

Love God
Our focus is on Jesus and growing a deep, personal relationship with him. Not a list of dos and don'ts.
It's easy to let the noise of cultural Christianity distract us from the gospel. At Current, we try our best to get out of the way so that people can focus on Jesus (John 3:30), the one who laid down His life, that we might have life (John 1:29), and extend life and love to others (Matthew 5:14-16). We strive to grow in our love for Him – for who He is, and what He has done for us, because as Jesus taught, when we do so, 'our lives will be transformed from the inside-out.' (Matthew 23:26).

Love One Another
We live life together. Authentic relationships matter.
Silicon Valley’s transient, tech-centric culture often leaves people feeling disconnected or lonely. That’s why we make community a top priority. From Sunday gatherings to small groups, neighborhood events, and sports leagues, Current strives to foster meaningful, Christ-centered relationships. We want to be a community that not only asks, “How are you doing?” but also, “How are you really doing?”

Love the World
The church is not just for us; we are called to make a difference in the world.
If anyone changed the world, it’s Jesus. He calls His followers to do the same—investing not in what moth and rust can destroy but in relationships that last forever. At Current, we actively serve our city and the people God places in our lives, moving them toward Jesus. We strive to invest in the good of society and reflect God’s love for the world.
Our Leadership

David & Cindy Collister
In 2015, David and Cindy felt a clear call to plant a church in Silicon Valley—to share the love of Jesus through gospel-centered community. With a few close friends gathered in a living room, Current was born!
A Bay Area native and UC Berkeley alum (Go Bears!), David is a fourth-generation pastor who’s been serving in ministry since earning his Master of Divinity and ordination in 2008.
Cindy, born in Los Angeles to Taiwanese immigrants, came to faith in high school and grew in her walk with Jesus at Yale. She spent a decade in consulting and fashion e-commerce strategy—experience she now brings to her role as Executive Director.
After two years in China, David and Cindy settled in Silicon Valley in 2011, where their kids, Kaleb and Mady, were born. Today, they’re grateful to lead Current together alongside an amazing team!
