Impact
2024

Impact is Current's annual year-end initiative by which we increase our ability to fund local & global strategic partnerships, church planting, and intentional outreach events in the community. Below are some of the gospel opportunities we had this year because of our church family’s generous giving!

Goal By December 31:
$200,000

From the beginning, it has been our heart that we partner generously with other gospel-hearted organizations. By God’s grace, our impact goal is 20x what it was when we launched seven years ago!

100% of Impact goes out to our non-profit partners, church plants, and the local community.

With God’s help, we can make a far greater impact together than we could on our own.

Will you prayerfully consider making a year-end gift to increase our Kingdom impact over the next year?

Local Partnerships

We seek to meet both physical & spiritual needs, coming alongside local
non-profit organizations & ministries to support their initiatives.
We do this through giving, serving, and praying.

Alpha

Creating safe spaces to explore the biggest questions about life, God, and the Christian faith. Since our launch, Current has hosted Alpha groups and has seen it lead to many faith decisions. We partnered with Alpha Northern California at $10,000 this year to help train and equip other Churches to run the course and introduce people to Christ.

Love Never Fails

Restoring, educating, and protecting trafficking survivors in the Bay Area. Our $11,000 grant funds safe spaces to house survivors immediately after pick-up, job education, and alumni support programs. Current groups will also facilitate healing for survivors this year by creating Christmas party kits for their survivor homes and gifts for all survivors and mentees in their network.

Afghan Refugee Outreach

Current Groups worked together to stuff 5,000 Easter Eggs to reach Afghan refugee families this Easter!

Church Planting

Ten churches committed to helping Current get started eight years ago. If not for God moving through local churches, Current would not have the impact we see today. We now have the privilege to pay it forward. We believe that planting strong, gospel-believing churches is the single greatest way to reach people with the love of Christ and have a tangible impact in a local community.

In 2023, we are distributing $70,000 in partnership grants to church plants in the Bay Area. Church plants we have supported include:

  • Our City Center (Berkeley, CA)

  • Hue Church (Santa Clara, CA)

  • New City Church (Oakland, CA)

  • New Valley Church (East San Jose, CA)

  • Storyline Church (Oakland, CA)

  • Tekoa Church (San Jose, CA)

  • The Father's House (Oakland, CA)
